摘要：The present invention includes at least one camera (601) having a lens (602) with

at least a 180 degree field-of-view for capturing a hemispherical image (603)corresponding to a mirror image of the hemispherical image (603) captured by thecamera (601) and capturing the second image from a second camera. A converter

combines (216) the two images along with their outside edges (207, 208) to form a single,spherical image (209). The apparatus for interactive display of any portion of a sphericalimage preferably comprises a digital processor apparatus (219) for storing digital datarepresentative of at least one image having a 180 degree field-of-view. In order to view aselected image portion without warp or distortion at the seam between oppositehemispherical images, edge filtering is applied to eliminate a halo effect.
