This is a guideline to help you remember what you need to do in each part of a process essay. Introduction

1. State what the process is and why it is important. 2. Define the process.

3. State the purpose for explaining the process.

4. List any equipment, ingredients, or supplies needed to perform the process.

5. Write a thesis statement that states the focus of your essay.
